Reference: | 2053 Quaintrelle |
Quaintrelle is a stunning vessel, at the top of her class. She is a 57’6” reverse layout semi-trad built by Tyler Wilson, and fitted out by Oakcraft Narrowboats (Jim Birch), in 2014. She has been used in both the UK and France, and is registered on the Small Ships Registar as well as with the Canals and Rivers Trust here in the UK.
She has been blacked and the hull surveyed in April 2024, ensuring a strict maintenance schedule has been upheared to.
The stern deck features lockers either side, with wooden seats and a demountable table, which are the first glimpse at Oakcrafts fitout style. Inside, more reclaimed wood is used for the flooring throughout, cabin and hull sides, and worktops. The Beta 43 engine is housed below. Navigation is aided by a Lewmar 10hp hydraulic bowthruster.
Steps lead down into the 11’1” galley, with a Belfast sink, Heritage diesel range, Zanussi washing machine, Candy 230v fridge with icebox, and a range of cupboards, drawers and shelves.
The 11’6” saloon follows, with a fixed bench and folding breakfast bar style table (converts to spare double), 2 seat leather sofa, Hobbit multi fuel stove, Cello TV/DVD, and more storage.
Next is the 6’0” bathroom, with a square tray with tiled surround, circular wash basin, and a Sanimarin macerator pumpout loo.
The 10’6” bedroom is in the forward cabin, with more reclaimed timbers used in here too. The 6’1” x 4’6” cross bed double berth has storage under and cupboards over, as well as a single full height wardrobe next to that.
Steps lead out, through fully glazed forward doors, onto the open well deck. She is gas free, so there is more storage on the well deck and bow.
Side hatches, with acrylic screens, can be found both sides in the galley and saloon, and on the port side in the bedroom, along with a Houdini hatch over the galley, bringing in plenty of light and fresh air.
She is centrally heated by the Heritage diesel range, which heats the radiators as well as the hot water. The engine and an immersion can also be used for hot water when needed.
12v power is supplied by 4x 130ah domestics (NEW October 2023), with a separate starter, topped up by 300w of solar with an Epever MPPT solar charge controller. 240v power is via a Victron Multiplus 3kw inverter/charger, or landline.
Lighting on board is LED throughout, including under the gunwhales.
She is a really special boat, ready to turn the key and go!
