Description
This Moody Carbineer 44 is possibly the first of a production run of 32 over a 10 year period (1969-79). Built in Swanwick by Moody Yachts in what was, in my opinion, their design heyday. She is a true example of what high quality tradesmen can achieve. Her original build and fit out was as a solid, seagoing motorsailer, powerful under sail and safe and comfortable on deck and below. A boat you really would want to sail anywhere.
She fell on hard times and was in the yard here for a couple of years, however her luck changed in 2022 when she was bought by her current owner, who, in conjunction with an experienced surveyor, began the task of restoring her. Not just back to her former glory but more than that, using the highest quality materials and tradesmen available.
Everything has been meticulously planned, executed and documented, schematics drawn up and quotes obtained for the remaining works and all of this comes with her. She will be shrink wrapped shortly to protect her and stored with the rig down to enable easy road transport if required but there wouldn't be much work to do to enable relaunch. Unfortunately, due to a change of circumstance, the owner now has to sell her. This presents an incredible opportunity for someone who values the quality and design of these classic yachts to acquire a project already at an advanced stage.
Please ask questions, request information or get in touch even just for a chat! The surveyor who project managed the work so far and designed all the systems remains available for consultation if required.
